Segment 1 Packages for Flint & Surrounding Areas.
Segment 1 Packages for the Big Rapids area.
Segment 1 Packages for the Evart HS area.
All Major Driving School Segment 1 Packages include every requirement as outlined by the state of Michigan. Students will participate in 24 hours of classroom education and 10 hours of behind the wheel training / observation. Students are given a testbook to loan until the end of class and a workbook that is theirs to keep. On the last day of class, students will take an 80 question final exam, and upon completion of both the written test and on the road hours, students will recieve a certificate of completion. Families will then take that certificate of completion to the Secretary of State, along with other needed documents, and will recieve their level 1 license.
Any teenager with a valid birth certificate who is at least 14 years & 8 months and under 18 years old are able to enroll in segment 1.
The state of Michigan is a Graduated Drivers Licensing (GDL) State. This means that upon completing Segment 1 students will recieve a Level 1 License which allows them to operate a motor vehicle only when accompanied by a licensed parent or legal guardian or any licensed driver 21 years of age or older designated by the parent or legal guardian.
After completing Segment 1, the student will need to log and accumulate 30 hours of driving with at least 2 of them being during the night. Once the student has had their level 1 license for 3 months, they will enroll in Segment 2, and eventually take their road test.
